Want to learn to ride off-road? Join our mountain unicycling workshop day at Afan Forest Park in South Wales!

Required equipment: Unicycle, Helmet
Recommended equipment: Knee/shin pads, Gloves, Elbow pads, Waterproof clothing, Water bottle, Packed lunch
Afan Forest Mountain Bike Trails are the ideal place to start your mountain unicycling career. We will be using the green and blue graded trails for the workshops, giving you the chance to learn new skills and gain experience riding off-road. This workshop day is aimed at unicyclists who would like to learn how to ride blue mountain biking trails. The only prerequisite skill is being able to ride a unicycle!
We will cover essential skills for riding off-road, including:
- Mounting a big wheel
- Riding over rough ground
- Riding down slopes
- Riding up slopes
- Small drops
- Brake control
We will also cover how to make sure you are prepared for longer rides and full-days out on the trail, including which equipment you should take and the preparation you should make.
